Music in Place

After pausing our season and rehearsals in March 2020 due to the spread of covid-19, the New Amsterdam Singers have been gathering virtually to sing together, listen to recitals, learn from composers, and more—a program we’re calling Music in Place. For the 2020-2021 season, we’re offering you, our audience, the chance to join us in these experiences, including a musical interview with Senator Tim Kaine, a piano recital with our incredible accompanist Pen Ying Fang, and open rehearsals with NAS assistant conductor David Recca.

  • Future Concert Plans
  • Virtual Performances

To support the health and well-being of our singers, our audience, and our community, all our plans for future concerts are tentative. We are currently hoping to resume rehearsals in September 2021 and offering our delayed performance of Through the Seasons, including the premiere of Robert Paterson’s I Go Among Trees, on December 10 and 12, 2021. To get the latest on our plans for future performances and receive other updates during our Music in Place period, sign up for our mailing list.

Enjoy these virtual performances of some of our favorite pieces!
