Meet the Composer: Robert Paterson

We are all tremendously excited to be performing live for the first time in two years at our concerts on December 10th and 12th, featuring the world premiere of Robert Paterson’s I Go Among Trees, commissioned by New Amsterdam Singers to commemorate our 50th anniversary. The piece is scored for chorus and marimba.

Come join us at a very special virtual “Meet the Composer” event on December 5th at 5 pm for a demonstration of the marimba, an interview of the composer by our music director, Clara Longstreth, and a conversation with Barbara Zucker-Pinchoff, who underwrote the piece with her husband Barry. Members of the audience will be invited to submit questions during the event.
