SUMMARY:Meet the Composer: Robert Paterson
DESCRIPTION:We are all tremendously excited to be performing live for the first time in two years at our concerts on December 10th and 12th\, featuring the world premiere of Robert Paterson’s I Go Among Trees\, commissioned by New Amsterdam Singers to commemorate our 50th anniversary. The piece is scored for chorus and marimba. \nCome join us at a very special virtual “Meet the Composer” event on December 5th at 5 pm for a demonstration of the marimba\, an interview of the composer by our music director\, Clara Longstreth\, and a conversation with Barbara Zucker-Pinchoff\, who underwrote the piece with her husband Barry. Members of the audience will be invited to submit questions during the event.
